  • select key
  • select open sound
  • now test sound out
  • adjust when it starts & stops
  • adjust face, pitch & volume

  • make 2 keys that pairs a beginning & ending sounds, eg. open door & close door
  • make a key loop sound
  • make a key toggle sound on and off
  • make 3 keys with separate sounds that you can layer

Create a soundscape from loud/bustling to quiet/calm
  • should be 1 to 2 minutes
  • createa google doc
    • write a description of your setting
    • identify 10 sounds that you'd like to use
    • sharegoogle doc with kwilkens@stab.org
  • search for sounds at Freesound (see instructions below for downloading .mp3 files)
  • add .mp3 files as tracks to Audacity
  • experiment with transitioning sounds
  • experiment with multiple sounds
  • experiment with effects like reverb, fade, pitch, amplify, etc.
Downloading Sounds from Freesound
  • Search for a sound
  • Click on the sound you want to get on it's page
  • Right-click on page and select View Page Source
  • Search for .mp3
  • Highlight & copy the URL it found
    (eg. http://www.freesound.org/data/previews/186/186942_2594536-lq.mp3)
  • Open this URL in a new tab
  • Right-click and then select Save As to download the .mp3 file onto your computer
